미국 비올라 사이트인 viola.com에서 옮겼습니다. 영국 출신의 전설적 명 비올리스트인 터티스의 탄생 125주년을 기념하여 터티스 모델 비올라에 관한 Lecture,터티스 편곡 작품들의 연주,비올라 앙상블 연주등 한국실정에선 부러운 풍성한 레파토리가 가득하더군요. 참가자도 터티스의 제자이자 비올리스트,교사,비올라 문헌 연구가로 명망이 높은 존.화이트 교수를 비롯 영국 Strad지의 편집장인 테리.포터씨등 흥미로운 이벤트가 많아서 옮겨 봤습니다. Nov.1 11.00 am Concert Room Introductory Lecture on Lionel Tertis given by John White, Professor of Viola, Royal Academy of Music. 1.05 pm Theatre Lunchtime Concert Three Haydn String Quartets played by RAM ensembles: given as a tribute to Lionel Tertis who in the 1927/28 academic year coached all the 83 Quartets by Haydn. These were performed in weekly concerts throughout the year by four Academy students. 2.30 pm Theatre Concert of works associated with Lionel Tertis: Vaughan Williams Suite: Yuko Inoue (vla) Kathron Sturrock (pno) Bliss Sonata: Martin Outram (vla) Julian Rolton (pno) John Ireland Sonata Yuko Inoue (vla) Kathron Sturrock (pno). 4.30pm Theatre Lecture The Tertis Legacy by Tully Potter, author, journalist, critic and editor of Classic Record Collector. 7.30 pm Duke's Hall Viola Ensemble Concert of works associated with Lionel Tertis Handel/Tertis: Variations on a Passacaglia of Handel for 2 violas Beethoven/Tertis: Trio op. 87 for 3 violas York Bowen: Fantasie Quartet for 4 violas B.J. Dale: Introduction and Andante op. 5 for 6 violas Gordon Jacob: Suite for 8 violas Paul Silverthorne (vla) Yuko Inoue (vla) Martin Outram (vla) Garfield Jackson (vla) together with RAM students. This concert will be hosted by the Friends of the RAM Nov.2 11.00 am Concert Room Lecture: The Tertis Model Viola by the distinguished luthier, Wilfred Saunders. 1.05 pm Duke's Hall (free on Fridays concert) Concert: RAM Concert Orchestra - conductor Andrea Quinn B.J. Dale: Romance op 2 for viola and orchestra - Martin Outram Elgar/Tertis: Cello Concerto op. 85 arranged for viola - Paul Silverthorne. 3.00 pm Concert Room Concert of Tertis transcriptions Garfield Jackson (vla) Carole Presland (pno) Handel Sonata in F Schubert Allegretto Beethoven Variations op 66 Liszt Liebestraum Bach Adagio Bax Sonata for viola and piano. 7.30 pm Duke's Hall Celebrity Recital Michael Kugel (vla) accompanied by Mireille Gleizes (pno) Schumann: Adagio and Allegro op. 70 Rebecca Clarke: Sonata Paganini/Kugel: Duo Concertante, Il Carnevale di Venezia Kugel: Prelude Classici Bizet/Waxman: Carmen Fantasie This concert will be hosted by the RAM Club.
